Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Cockroach Janta Party (“CJP”) mobile application and website (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

01Who can use the Service

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate information when you sign up and to keep your account secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

02Your account

You sign in with your phone number and a one-time verification code. Keep your device and login secure — don't share access with others. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

03Your content

You own the posts, comments, and other content you create (“Your Content”). You are solely responsible for it. By posting, you grant CJP a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and distribute Your Content within the Service so it can be shown to other users and operate the platform. You confirm you have the right to share what you post.

04Community rules

The Service is a space for honest, sharp political conversation. To keep it usable for everyone, you agree not to post or do any of the following:

• Hate speech, harassment, threats, or incitement to violence.
• Spam, scams, or coordinated inauthentic behaviour (troll farms, vote manipulation).
• Misinformation intended to deceive, or impersonation of others.
• Sexually explicit material, content involving minors, or anything unlawful.
• Doxxing or sharing someone's private information without consent.
• Attempts to break, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the Service.

We use automated screening and human moderators. Content that breaks these rules may be removed, and accounts may be warned, suspended, or banned.

05Member verification

Becoming a verified member is optional and subject to review. We may approve or reject applications at our discretion based on eligibility. Verified status unlocks certain features and may be revoked if our rules are violated.

06Moderation & enforcement

We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law, with or without notice where circumstances require it. We may also act to protect the safety of users and the integrity of the platform.

07Reporting & grievances

You can report content or accounts from within the app. If you have a complaint about content or about how the Service is run, contact us using the details below. We aim to acknowledge grievances within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days.

08Intellectual property

The Service, including its name, logo, design, and software, belongs to CJP and is protected by law. These Terms don't grant you any right to use our branding without permission.

09Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the Service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Opinions expressed by users are their own and do not represent CJP.

10Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CJP will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11Termination

You can stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

12Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of India shall have jurisdiction over any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service.

13Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
